Clay-quoa or Nettle Island is part of the traditional territory of the Tseshaht First Nation. It's spectacular protected bay was our home base on the most epic seven day adventure in a 12-person voyageur canoe in my youth which I returned to again + again. A world outside of time, teaming with sea lions, whales + yes, plenty of stinging nettle.
